Van Gogh in St Remy Saint Paul de Mausole

I particularly like the hospital St Paul de Mausole where Van Gogh spent the last year of his life. Best to visit with someone who knows a bit the place since you're not visiting the exact part where Van Gogh stayed (as this part is still a psychatric hospital to this day..) but you get to plunge into the spirit (if you see what I mean)...

The hospital is run by a non commercial "Association" who uses art therapy as a treatment for the patients of the hospital. Paintings from the patients are on display and for sale at the very nice shop along with Van Gogh reproduction and small gifts.

You will also enjoy a wonderful XII C monastery visit with its lovely cloister.
A nice and soothing visit that I strongly recommend.
